Arizona Residents Upset About Imitation Locksmiths | C & S lock & Security

A recent news report out of Phoenix Arizona has home and auto owners thinking twice before agreeing to service from a locksmith. Unfortunately many Arizona residents are being preyed upon by imitation locksmiths who offer a $15 or $19 “service call” but what they end up paying is hundreds.

What transpires is an unsuspecting citizen will click on a “company’s” link that is listed on a 24/7 locksmith website that offers a flat fee that sounds too good to be true. Of course that is because it is too good to be true as the company they have found is a fake locksmith that is not licensed, bonded, or insured.

The fake locksmith company will often times take your call from a dispatcher in a completely different state to make the trail back less traceable. A fake locksmith will then show up at your house or where you are stranded with your car and proceed to do the work of regaining access, however once access is regained the prices go through the roof.

To avoid scams like this always make sure the locksmith you are about to use has a real reputation like with the Better Business Bureau, is listed on Angies List, Yelp, or Google review. Most importantly make sure the locksmith you choose is licensed, bonded and insured. If you are located in Tucson look no further than the licensed, bonded, and insured locksmiths at C & S Lock & Security!
